How can you be the best version of you?

How can you be the best version of you?

Start with a simple step in taking one day a week to make yourself you’re the first-priority. Self-care Sunday! It’s not about the stereotypical over-the-top and potentially challenging entire day to yourself. What you personally need might be simpler. Be mindful of your own needs, and that is individual! Your acceptance of your own values and what matters to you is important. It isn’t easy for everyone to just check out of their responsibilities but with a little planning, not much, you can get a little time out – even if is time in solitude for half hour, or out walking for an hour, or something else? In my Facebook community I asked the question “If you could write a note to your younger self what would you say in only two words?” and here are some of the replies in the group: Be brave. Stay strong. Don’t worry. Stay healthy. Chill out or go…

How to Lose Your Limiting Beliefs

How to Lose Your Limiting Beliefs

Limiting beliefs cop a bad rap and they deserve it. Largely, any self-limiting belief is a form of suppression which may be linked to a past trauma (of any scale being disappointment through to devastation), a person’s judgement of you – telling you are not worthy or your own feelings of unworthiness – through to adding meaning to a past experience, such as a loss. How to recognise limiting beliefs? Every time you want to experience something but you have an excuse as to why you can’t/won’t do it, that is your limiting belief. So, if you feel you don’t know enough people to change friendship circles, or move to a new town, that could be a belief that you are not enough to create or attract new friendships. We do not want to have limiting beliefs in our life because it is a form of suppression. It prevents you to from having what you…

How I discovered that my search for a coach was exactly like the dating game

How I discovered that my search for a coach was exactly like the dating game

Let’s just say, not everyone we meet is ‘keeper’ when it comes to finding ‘the one’. Here are my 7 top things to consider so you can get it right, based on my own journey with mentors and coaches… Would you love to solve the problem that you know is holding you back? Maybe you lack confidence when presenting at work or meeting new people, or you just plain hate your job and want to discover a more fulfilling way to work? Or, have better relationships in all areas of life. It can feel daunting considering working with a coach because they may actually kind of make you make the change you said you wanted. They can help you learn how to reach this change, but much more than that they help you to be accountable and actually implement the lessons.  el  I know I’ve been there! I remember searching for a business coach. I…

Who Will You Be?

Who Will You Be?

As we are half way through 2018, how are you feeling about this year? Has it been a total release from the past? Or has it been uncomfortable as you become more self-aware and know what needs to change?  Believe me, all of this is good. There is a saying I love “new level, new devil” and it is 100% true! In my experience, no matter how much progress I make towards my goals, each new level will require a new version of me? Who do you need to BE to achieve your goal?   My YouTube channel has a number of free training videos and resources including a shorter version of the Inner Critic training which was in the closed Facebook group. You won’t see the private conversations that took place in the group as our community shared the various obstacles faced and solutions that work! By Leigh White, Transformational Coach

What really IS compassion?

What really IS compassion?

“The definition of compassion is the ability to understand the emotional state of another person or oneself. Often confused with empathy, compassion has the added element of having a desire to alleviate or reduce the suffering of another.” (fromPsychology Today website) Many of the clients I work with are empathetic people who are sensitive to others’ energy and needs, so to retain my client’s strength and empowerment through avoiding over-serving others in their lives, my focus around teaching compassion is to define compassion as ‘understanding’. If you’ve been experiencing negative relationships, jam-packed with drama, try to take a step back and explore having some compassion for the other person as this process will empower you beyond measure. It is when you move from shock, pain, or anger into cutting the cord that enables them to have power over you, or hurt you. The imbalance in the relationship is like metaphoric tug of war. It is…

TIPS: How to set up your ideal day

TIPS: How to set up your ideal day

Would you love to feel more calm, less stressed and overwhelmed? It really begins the minute you wake up and we do a lot of work on how to set up your ideal day when I work 1:1 with clients or at the annual Intention Setting day workshops. For now, here is a quick guide to setting up the ideal start to the day : Start out by rising a few minutes earlier, when the house is quiet. Detox the liver with a warm drink of water and lemon Stretch your body. Do you have a set of stretches you enjoy? Try laying out a yoga mat, or towel, and simply breathing into your chest area, asking yourself what stretches you’d like to experience on that day. It doesn’t have to be complicated. Just let go of the expectation or outcome! Journal – this could be writing from a feeling of gratitude for simple or…
