Decade of hope for bereaved
WINGS of hope will hold its annual gathering for people bereaved by sucide at 11am, this saturday, 17th November. The intimate event at Balmoral Island is designed to reduce harm and isolation in the community.
Sucide is non-exclusive, with more deaths per annum than the national road toll and each death imapcting eight or more people. Is is essential we continue working towards breaking down the stigma around the sucide, reducing isolation and supporting others.
WINGS of hope President Wendy McWilliam said the group was in its 10th year and “aim to contine our mission to connect with others through providing resources, events and awareness to help reduce risk or harm.”
